To ensure our reputation as a leader in community-based research, Carle fosters an environment that encourages not only industry-sponsored clinical trials but also investigator-initiated research.
Services
The Investigator-Initiated Research Services (IIRS) team is a multidisciplinary team of project navigators, staff scientists, statisticians, data engineers, a data architect and medical students. Our mission is to help clinician investigators (Carle physicians, nurses, residents) as well as Carle Illinois College of Medicine (CI MED) students conduct scientifically sound and HIPAA compliant research by providing fundamental research capabilities similar to those within an academic research setting. Our team provides the following comprehensive suite of research services for investigator-initiated research. Some of these are fee-for-services. Projects are supported based on assessment of feasibility and first-come, first-served basis.
